Only 5 eh?  Well, since Halloween is right around the corner, how about my top 5 scary books?

5. Everything's Eventual by Stephen King.  This collection of short stories includes some real gems!

4. Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice.  I love this book.  I've read it a million times.

3. The Haunting of Hill House by Shirly Jackson.  Scary stuff!

2. Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin. While I was reading this I was not scared.  I was impressed with how clever it was, and how so much humor was seamlessly integrated.  Once I was finished with the book and turned out the lights, that is when the terror stuck.  This is the sort of story that sticks with you!

1. Ghost Story by Peter Straub. Oh.  My. Gosh.  Scariest book EVER!!!  I was terrified of this story while I was reading it, but it is so good, I couldn't put it down! Years later, mere mention of the book's title sends shivers down my spine!   WARNING: NOT INTENED FOR USE BY HORROR NOVICE, OR THOSE WHO SCARE EASILY!
